Maintenance is the combination of all technical and administrative measures as well as management measures during the life cycle of a building that serve to maintain or restore its functional condition so that the required function can be fulfilled (DIN 31051).

Concrete has many advantages:

It is durable, retains its value, is water-resistant and offers excellent structural fire protection. No wonder it is used in the construction of car parks, underground car parks, ramps, buildings, facades, sewage treatment plants and hydraulic structures. However, even the most robust material shows signs of deterioration in its visual appearance or function after decades due to production, use and exposure.
