Matthias Braun is CEO and founder of the Braun Engineering Group.
After studying structural engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, Matthias Braun was responsible for the realisation of construction projects in Germany and abroad on the client side.
From 2007, he built up the "Safety and Protection Planning" department at OBERMEYER and further developed integrated overall planning in national and international projects. Since 2013, he has also been responsible for structural planning in projects at home and abroad throughout the company. From 2016, he pushed ahead with the digitalisation of overall planning in the position of "Head of Production & Development." From 2018 to 2023, Matthias Braun was Managing Director of the OBERMEYER Group, responsible for the digitalised planning process and BIM development, as well as central project management. Most recently, he was responsible for the operational area of building planning.
In July 2023, he and his partners founded the Braun Engineering Group as a spin-off from the long-established OBERMEYER Group.
His goal is still to optimise digitalisation in interdisciplinary planning in order to give engineers the necessary intellectual freedom for the creative, technical and design development process through automation and digital support.

Felix Patzig has been Managing Director (COO) of Braun Engineering .secure GmbH since it was founded in 2023.
After completing his officer training and various posts in the engineer force of the German Armed Forces, including as an instructor in blasting procedures, building refurbishment and reconnaissance in countries of operation, Felix Patzig joined the Military Infrastructure department of OBERMEYER Planen + Beraten GmbH in 2009 as a specialist planner and project manager for security projects in Germany and crisis regions. From 2009 to 2014, he also completed three distance learning courses, including one in logistics, while working. From 2015, he built up the Security Planning department at OBERMEYER and finally took over the management of the Security and Safety Design department in 2019.
After retiring from active service in 2008, he continued to work as a reserve staff officer, maintaining close contact with a wide range of German Armed Forces organisations.
As an experienced security and overall planner, he always focuses on the final realisation of concepts in order to create added value together with our customers in every project phase. Efficient realisation, sustainable solutions and reliable results are the standards he sets for himself.

Hans-Jürgen Leger has been Managing Director (COO) of Braun Engineering .structure GmbH since it was founded in 2023.
After studying structural engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern and working briefly in the renovation of old buildings for a property developer, Hans-Jürgen Leger joined OBERMEYER Planen + Beraten GmbH in 1992. Here he learnt the various aspects of structural design "from the scratch" during construction and inspection and completed a Master's degree while working.
In the 2000s and beyond, he was responsible for various projects both nationally and in the Far and Middle East as well as in the CIS countries, partly as a project manager for structural engineering and partly as an overall project manager.
In 2007, Mr Leger took over the "Innovative Construction Methods and Building Materials" department, and from 2015 the "Structural Design" department. Since 2017, he has been responsible for the Structural Design department for all locations within Germany with the aim of setting high quality standards and organising processes more effectively for the benefit of the company and its customers.
At the same time, he headed the Structural, Safety and Security Planning branch from 2017, the Institutes from 2019 and the Buildings Munich branch from 2021. The integration of specialists from different fields into the interdisciplinary teams of overall planning was always the top priority.

Carren Braun has been Managing Director of BRAUN Bauconsult GmbH since 2011. End of 2024, the company was renamed and as Braun Engineering .consult integrated into the coporate group.
As a registered architect in the Bavarian Chamber of Architects, Caren now has more than 20 years of international experience in the construction industry. During and after her degree in architecture at TU Darmstadt, she spent several years abroad. Her stations included the USA, Bosnia, Indonesia and Luxembourg. She had the opportunity to get to know the construction business from the scratch in multinational environments and with various clients from the private and public sector, from NGOs and GOs to global corporations and, last but not least, Matthias on joint NATO projects in Afghanistan.
Caren Braun was able to gain a wide range of experience in the planning and implementation of construction projects, which she also demonstrated in team management functions. The broad spectrum of undertakings ranges from residential buildings, schools and numerous commercial properties to hospitals, production and laboratory buildings.
Caren's specialization in cost and risk management began in 2011 when the family found their new home in Munich, and she founded BRAUN Bauconsult GmbH. Since then, she has worked on numerous architectural and fit-out projects for renown clients across Germany, combining a profound knowledge of German market developments with established industry contacts and an understanding of the needs of both German and international clients.
